TOOLING DESIGN
25 years of experience at the design of tooling
for plastic decorating has made Custom Plastic Impressions
a forerunner in the plastics industry when companies
require imprinting on plastic products. Let us design
an effective, yet cost effective tooling package
that will insure ease of set up, while giving you
the imprint quality required in this demanding environment.
HOT STAMP TOOLING
Upon assessing your decorating needs, we will manufacture
a plastic decorating system designed to suit your
project requirements. We understand that many products
are manufactured in low volume production runs,
and that costs can become a deciding factor when
decorating the product. Although we can produce
tooling manufactured to last throughout long running
product runs, we have developed a very cost effective
way to manufacture hot stamp tooling, tailored to
small manufacturers and low volume production runs.
PAD PRINTING JIGS & FIXTURES
Although pad printing machines require far less
complicated tooling systems than hot stamping machines,
it is still quite important to have your parts supported
and registered correctly in the machine during printing.
Casting resins allow for relatively inexpensive
methods for producing support fixtures, while greatly
reducing the overall cost of tooling when preparing
fixtures for conveyor systems or rotary tables.
Call us for a quotation, and you will be pleasantly
surprised at how reasonable tooling costs can be.
CONTOURED DIE BLOCKS & MOLDS
One of our specialties is manufacturing contoured
tooling and silicone rubber dies for hot stamping
on irregular surfaces and contoured plastic parts.
Metal die blocks can be machined to match your product
contours, then “soft backed” silicone
dies are shaped to fit the contour, and attached
to the blocks with mounting screws. This method
is the most cost effective to manufacturer, however,
for large ongoing production runs we strongly suggest
having contoured molds made to cast contoured silicone
rubber pads onto matching metal die blocks. Normally,
several die blocks are manufactured, allowing for
fast changeovers without having to adjust the machine
set up. Damaged rubber coverings are then sent back
for resurfacing with new rubber.
ROLLER CORE MACHINING
Regardless of the machine manufacturer, our machine
shop can produce new metal roller cores for your
hot stamping rollers, at significant savings from
purchasing through the equipment manufacturer. Call,
fax, or e-mail us with the core specifications you
require, and we will gladly quote to supply you
with new roller cores.
